The bike lives down the side of the house, and two summers of Australian sun have been at it. The saddle has a crack across the top. The top tube is three shades lighter than the underside. The chain comes out orange after every wet week, and the grips go gummy in the heat.
It still rides. It just looks like it has been through a decade. And every ride starts with wiping the dust off the seat.
This cover keeps off the three things that actually wear a parked bike down — rain, dust and UV.
Three layers, each with its own job. The outer layer sheds water and blocks UV, so the sun stops cooking the paint and the saddle. The middle layer stops dust and pollen before they settle into the drivetrain. The inner layer sits against the bike without rubbing the frame or the saddle.
Adjustable straps run around the underside and cinch tight, so the cover stays on when a storm blows through overnight. No flapping, no lifting, no fishing it out of the neighbour's yard in the morning.
A lock hole is built into the fabric near the frame. Thread a U-lock or chain through it and the bike stays locked without ever coming uncovered. Uncover to ride, cover to store — nothing else changes.
It fits standard bikes and e-bikes, so the extra bulk of a battery or motor does not stretch it out of shape.
The fabric is polyester and PVC with a protective coating — light enough to fold into a small bundle when the bike is out on the road, and quick to throw back over the frame when you get home. Two minutes at the end of a ride instead of a full clean before the next one.
The honest part. It is a cover, not a shed. It keeps the weather off a bike stored outside, under a carport or along the side of the house; it is not a replacement for a lock, so keep using one through the lock hole.
No faded paint. No cracked saddle. No dust to wipe before every ride.
