Every beach day has the same small problem: the car key. Leave it in your shoe and you spend the swim glancing back up the sand at the towel. Bury it in the bag and you are digging for it with wet hands at the car. Most men's swim trunks do not help, because the pockets are open or there are none at all.
Then there is the waist. A fixed waist is too tight after a pie at the kiosk and loose enough to slip when you dive under a wave.
These swim shorts sort out both, with a zip and a cord.
On the front sits a zipped pocket. Drop your car key or a card in, run the zip shut, and it stays secure while you swim, walk the beach or sit out on the sand.
The waistband is elasticated all the way round, with an adjustable drawcord. Pull it in for the surf, ease it off for lunch. No belt, and no fixed waist to argue with.
The fabric is a woven 95% polyester in a regular fit. It does not stretch, so the side seams are split at the hem to give your legs room: a full stride on the sand, a step up onto the rocks at the point, a kick when you push off in the water.
The cut is clean and the colours are plain, so they work as swim shorts at the beach and the pool, and as everyday shorts at the park, the gym or the barbecue afterwards.
Regular fit, in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL and 2XL. The fabric is woven and does not stretch, so the elasticated waist and drawcord do the adjusting. There is no measurement chart for these, so there is no size table on this page.
