You kneel on a wet log at the edge of the creek to land a fish, and the damp goes straight through your pants to the skin. Half an hour later you are standing at the boat ramp with a cold wet patch from mid-thigh to knee, and the rest of the day is going to feel like that.
Or you are working through scrub on a hunt and the cargo pocket with your licence in it spits it out into the leaf litter, because the flap will not stay shut. The pants you brought are not wrong for the outdoors. They are just wrong for the outdoor thing you are actually doing today.
These cargo trousers are built for that day: water-resistant polyester on the outside, zippered cargo pockets that hold real gear, and a cut that kneels, sits and crawls.
The polyester outer sheds water instead of soaking it up. The wet log, the splash off the river, the dew on long grass at first light do not come straight through to the skin. It is not fully waterproof, and a proper downpour will eventually push through. But for the incidental wet of a normal fishing or hunting day, it keeps the damp where it belongs.
Zippered cargo pockets down the leg carry the gear that would otherwise scatter across a vest and a pack: licence, knife, multi-tool, calls, phone. The fly closes with a zip and button that stays put through a day of scrambling, kneeling and climbing in and out of the ute. Reinforced knee panels sit where you kneel most.
The fit is regular, not skin-tight and not baggy work-pant wide. It is cut to move with a stride, a squat, a kneel or a step up onto a rock ledge.
Four colours, Khaki, Black Camo, Green and Black, in sizes XS to 2XL, with a full measured size chart below so you can check before you choose.
No wet knees. No lost licence. No changing pants back at the ute.
