A cooler backpack sorts out the drinks. A folding stool sorts out the seat. Try carrying both to the end of the jetty, along with a rod and a tackle bag, and you run out of hands long before you run out of gear.
So something stays in the ute, and it is usually the stool. You spend the arvo perched on a cold rock or an upturned bucket, with the esky doubling as a footrest and your back letting you know about it.
Two bits of gear, each doing one job, and one of them always left behind.
This one does both jobs from a single pack on your back.
The bag and the stool are built as one. An insulated cooler compartment sits inside a folding X-frame, and the top of the frame carries a fabric seat. On the walk in it is a backpack: adjustable shoulder straps on, both hands free for the rod, the bait bucket or a kid.
When you get there, open the frame and the legs swing out into a stool in seconds, with the cooler bag still hanging inside it. Your drinks and lunch sit right under you, in reach without getting up.
The insulated compartment keeps food and drinks cool on the way in and through the session. Around the outside, a front zip pocket with a reflective strip holds keys, a phone or a spare packet of hooks, a side sleeve takes a drink bottle, and a mesh pocket on the other side takes the sunscreen.
Fold it shut, swing it back on, and the walk out is as easy as the walk in.
One pack. Seat included.
