The Rain Stays Out.

It's bucketing down, you're due somewhere in your good shoes, and between you and the door there's a car park full of puddles and a footpath running with water. You can arrive with wet socks, or you can carry a second pair in your bag and change in the foyer.

Gumboots solve the puddles but then you're wearing gumboots all day. And the old trick of plastic bags over your shoes lasts about four steps.

These shoe covers zip on over the shoes you're already wearing, so you walk, ride or commute through the wet and still arrive in your own shoes, dry.

Here's How It Works

Each overshoe is an ankle-high PVC cover with its own thick sole and a maze-pattern tread. A zip opens down the front so your shoe slides straight in, an elastic strap with a snap button crosses the instep to hold the cover in place, and a cord with a toggle closes the top around your ankle or trouser leg.

On a wet morning it goes like this: step in, zip up, snap the strap, pull the cord, go. The puddles and the road grit meet the cover's sole instead of yours. At the door, the covers come off and the mud stays on them — not in your car, the office or the hallway.

The shaft stands about 22 cm tall on every size, which covers the whole shoe and the top of your sock line. Pick by your shoe size; if you're between sizes or wearing bulky shoes, go up one.

Now the honest part. These are PVC covers with a front zip, and they are not rated waterproof. Treat them as protection for rainy walks and rides, not for wading or standing in deep water. The tread gives the sole a pattern, but wet tiles and polished floors indoors still call for care.

The Gear It Replaces

A spare pair of shoes in your bag — bulky, and you still have to change somewhere

Gumboots all day — fine in the paddock, not at your desk

Plastic bags over your shoes — split at the heel within a block

Just walking fast — the puddles win

What's In It

Full front zip — opens wide so you step in with your shoes already on

Elastic instep strap with snap — keeps each cover in place as you walk

Drawstring top with toggle — closes around your ankle or trouser leg

Thick separate sole — raised rim and maze-pattern tread between your shoe and the street

Ankle-high shaft — about 22 cm tall to cover the whole shoe

Pull-off at the door — mud and grit stay on the covers

Sold as a pair — both feet covered from the first wet walk

Specifications

Product type: Ankle-high zip-up rain shoe covers (overshoes)

Material: PVC

Closures: Front zip, elastic instep strap with snap button, drawstring top with toggle

Sole: Thick separate sole with raised rim and maze-pattern tread

Height: Approx. 22 cm (8.7 in), all sizes

Size S: EU 35.5–37, cover length 27.4 cm

Size M: EU 38–39.5, cover length 28.4 cm

Size L: EU 40–42, cover length 30.5 cm

Size XL: EU 42.5–44.5, cover length 32.5 cm

Size XXL: EU 45–47, cover length 34.5 cm

Colour: Black

Care: Hand wash, do not dry clean

In the box: 1 pair (2 covers)

Intended use: Walking, commuting and riding in the rain

Intended user: Men and women

Arrive in your own shoes.
