Opens Fast. Better Than a Log.

Day three on a remote campsite with no drop toilet. Every trip into the scrub means a shovel, a careful look for snakes, and a squat that gets harder on the knees each morning. At night it means doing all of that by head torch.

A chemical toilet would solve it, but it takes up half the boot, needs chemicals, and somebody has to empty it.

This one folds flat behind the seat and opens into a proper place to sit.

Here's How It Works

The body is two olive green plastic side frames on hinges. Pull them apart and they lock out into a square base with four feet and cut-out handles in the sides. The black top sits across them with a seat opening and a hinged lid that closes over it, so between uses it stays covered and doubles as a low stool.

Set up it measures 37 x 30.5 x 30.5 cm. That is lower than a toilet at home, closer to a squat than a seat, and much easier on the knees than going without. The supplier rates it to 150 kg.

Bags are not included. Line it with a toilet waste bag or a strong bin liner under the seat, and pack waste out with the rest of your rubbish where the campsite rules ask for it.

Fold it back down and it goes flat enough to slide behind the seat of the ute, under a swag or into a gap in the camper. Plastic means you can rinse it off with a bottle of water and leave it in the sun to dry.

The Gear It Replaces

A shovel and a squat — hard on the knees and harder in the dark

A log or a rock — never where you need it

A chemical toilet — bulky, heavy and a job to empty

A bucket with a seat — takes up the same space folded as set up

What's In It

Folding hinged frame — opens into a square base and folds flat again

Seat opening — sized for a toilet bag or bin liner underneath

Hinged lid — keeps it covered between uses

Cut-out side handles — carry it with one hand

Four wide feet — a steady stance on dirt, sand and grass

Plastic body — rinses clean with a bottle of water

Specifications

Product type: Folding portable camping toilet

Size set up: 37 x 30.5 x 30.5 cm

Seat height: About 30.5 cm

Load rating: 150 kg (supplier)

Material: PP plastic (supplier)

Colour: Olive green with black lid

Included: 1 folding toilet (bags not included)

Intended use: Camping, 4WD trips, fishing trips, caravans and emergencies

Intended user: Adults

Fold it.
