They read as stitching, and they are not. They are moulded relief in one continuous PVC shell that runs from the collar to the outsole as a single piece. The boot is styled like a stitched bootie with none of the thread holes that come with one, and that is why water does not get through the shell.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is a pull tab at the heel and another at the collar, so a snug moulded boot still goes on easily. A padded collar band stops the opening cutting into your ankle, and a fabric lining and fabric insole mean you are not standing on bare plastic. The insole lifts out to dry separately.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnderneath is a deep-lugged outsole with open channels between the lugs, for soft ground, wet lawns and mud. A moulded toe bumper wraps the front, where a boot takes most of its knocks. When you are done, rinse them under the tap or the hose.
